On our ever-evolving journey toward greater illumination, the Tarot provides insightful awareness. Few classes address the practical needs of the beginning student. Fewer still view Tarot reading as an art form. Performed effectively, a Tarot reading encourages individual strengths, while offering guidance to overcoming unhelpful blocks. This 2-part, hands-on workshop series addresses the practical needs of the beginning Tarot student. Instead of history and symbolism, you will explore the cards' compelling imagery while conducting powerful readings using simple spreads. Michael's critically-acclaimed approach will prove equally rewarding to intermediate students and experienced readers open to uncluttered methods capable of providing deeply meaningful messages. This workshop series will guide the serious novice along a balanced path on a lifelong passage of discovery through the cards. Workshop I will concentrate on deck structure, visual comprehension of Tarot imagery, and related exercises. Workshop II will be devoted to actual Tarot reading. Attendance in Workshop I is mandatory for participation in optional Workshop II. There will be two 15-minute breaks during each session. Very limited space, so please register early.
Required Materials: Even though an illustrated handout will be provided, participants are advised to bring their own Tarot decks, especially for the second workshop. While the Rider-Waite Tarot Deck is suggested, acceptable variants are: Original Rider-Waite Tarot Deck, Universal Waite Tarot Deck, Radiant Rider-Waite Tarot Deck, Albano-Waite Tarot Deck, Diamond Tarot Deck, or the Pamela Coleman Smith Commemorative. A selection of these recommended decks will be available at Opal Moon at a 15% discount for registered students. Contact Michael directly by e-mail at orlandotarot@gmail.com with further questions about appropriate decks.
Michael will be offering private, 20-minute readings on the afternoons following the workshops.Click here for details
